Welcome back!
Prior to our well-deserved spring break, we were working on our Digital Storytelling projects. Many of you were able to complete them - some of you were not. If you still need to record your audio, you must do so during this class period. If you have problems, find someone to help you troubleshoot - no excuses!
If you finished the project before break, I would like for you to create the same project but this time using Movie Maker instead of PhotoStory. Movie Maker should already be installed on your computer. If it isn't, please download a free version. (Make sure to check the C: drive, Program Files folder before you download!) Once you've finished this project, I would like for you to comment on this blog and tell me which software you liked best and why. Your "why" must be supported by at least three specific examples.
I know which software I like best and I look forward to reading your responses!
I like both programs however us I have to make a project in the future I would chose Windows Movie Maker. I feel it is easier to and it was more organized. I also like PhotoStory 3 for the wide variety of transitions and effects.

As someone who has had experience with it, Windows Movie Maker is a more adaptable software than Photo Story. There are more tools at the user's disposal which are quicker to learn about. If somebody were to edit videos, Movie Maker is a great software for beginners. However, as one's skills advance, the software may seem like it's no longer useful. Yet again, one would be able to stick to Movie Maker much longer than Photo Story.

ReplyDeleteI wasn't able to get to the Windows Movie Maker today but I like Photo Story because its something that was very simple to use. I'm almost done with my script and I will be ready to record tomorrow.

I liked photo story three because it was much easier when putting in the audio. Also I used it before last year and already had some knowledge about it. I would much rather use photo story three
